Top 5 Dog Films

This was by far the hardest group of films to cut down to just five but after much consideration and deciding to leave out animated ones, here’s my top five dog films.

  1. Greyfriars Bobby: The True Story of a Dog
Greyfriars Bobby: The True Story of a Dog (1961), Directed by Don Chaffey.

This film follows the life of a young Skye Terrier, Bobby, and his bond with his owner. After his owner dies, we see the loyalty and devotion the dog has for his owner as he refuses to be adopted by anyone and wouldn’t leave his owners grave, even in bad weather. When Bobby is found to be unlicensed, the people of Edinburgh look after him.
