Ronnie (Miley Cyrus), has hated her dad since her parents divorce and getting sent to spend the summer with him is the last thing she wants. However, after falling in love with Will Blakelee (Liam Hemsworth), she rediscovers her love for music, which she shares with her father, and forming a strong relationship with him. Despite being a Romance film, the most important relationship throughout is Ronnie’s with her father which will leave you sobbing.
